COMMUNICATION DESIGN
What We Do
Expertise
We have large company experience, at major advertising agencies and design firms, working on Fortune 100 clients. As well, we have had smaller agencies and prefer to work with smaller clients now. Craig Patterson, our principal, has been an advertising and design professional since 1994.
Big skills, small company
Large agencies are where the muscle lies. Smaller firms sometimes have great talent, but can lack real-world strategic expertise. Because of our background, we have Big Agency Brains, but with a much smaller price tag.
Business knowledge
Many designers charge less than we do. But they are designing with a limited knowledge of what actually works in communications. They are technicians, not consultants. Our talents include real-world business acumen, plus great aesthetic skills. We get it right the first time.
We start with a relationship
If you want someone to simply execute a specific idea you already have, we may not be the best fit.
We prefer to get to know your challenges, your opportunities, and then craft a solution that makes the best sense for your business. A graphic designer cousin of yours can't do that (just being honest.)

FAQ
That is a question that needs more detail to answer. Let's talk about what you need, and go from there. But, to help answer: A new logo is usually around $1,500, if that helps tell you that we aren't going to compete with Fivrr or Upwork or your graphic designer niece. But we'll do a much better job. (I'm sure your niece is a great person, by the way.) A full typical website from scratch usually runs from $5-8,000. You'll find cheaper packages, but they're like buying a storage building at Home Depot, when what you need is a house.
We have always been comfortable meeting virtually. Thankfully, lots more people by force or by choice have also gotten comfortable with it. So, yes. We can Zoom, Teams, Facetime, whatever. But we will need to discuss things. We don't work as well from just an email or a filled-out form.
Sure, if it's necessary. And paid for.
Get in touch via that "Let's Talk" button. We'll follow up with a phone call and start a kick-off process to get to know your issue and then get to work.
Easy: Comic Sans. Never use it, even ironically. Second worst: Papyrus. Don't use it, either, unless you're making a sequel to Avatar and need some movie titles.
> We can certainly create fully functioning websites for you. That's called web design. We don't do web DEVELOPMENT, though. Development is the actual coding for deep custom web solutions (ex: inventory tracking or custom database solutions.) We aren't software or database developers (coders), but we'll find some if need be, and we certainly can work with them.
> We aren't short-order cooks. We prefer to work from your problem, crafting a custom solution.
> We don't overcharge. Or charge by the hour. You're paying for our expertise, not our time.
> We don't sell you a package of tools that you may not need. We build you a system for your business, then fine tune it based on its performance.
